Hello,
I just want to announce that we have published a new release of RapidMiner a few days (weeks?) ago: RapidMiner 4.2.
New Release: RapidMiner 4.2This release is a minor bugfix (only 5 bugs this time) and feature release. We started to concentrate more on large-scale data mining problems and hence improved the access to databases is improved (constant access times) and revised several data mining algorithms leading to a boost in run time of up to an factor of 13. Several unnecessary data scans were removed leading to further reduced runtimes. We also added some new features, including
- Aggregations in multiple dimensions
- Better support for date type
- Histogram plotters now support jittering and log scales
- Statistics for larger data sets are now only calculated on request
- Several plotters now support the plotting of absolute values and / or sorting according to the plotted column
- One-Class SVM for LibSVMLearner now properly supported
- New operators GroupModel and UngroupModel replace the automatic building of ContainerModels (merging preprocessing with prediction models) and hence give the user more control over the model building / grouping
- AttributeSubsetPreprocessing now supports the inversion of the specified regular expression
- AttributeSubsetPreprocessing can now be applied on subsets defined similarly to the new AttributeFilter operator
- The database example set writer now supports new overwriting / appending modes
DownloadThe new version and all RapidMiner plugins are available at
http://rapid-i.com Small Enterprise EditionAnother good news for smaller companies or single users: we now also provide the RapidMiner Enterprise Edition as a new Small Enterprise Edition which was designed especially for smaller companies / organisations or single users.
