Hello RA friends,

I succesfully installed Rapid Analytics on a laptop.

Laptop configuration is:
Windows 7 (64 bits)
Apache-Tomcat 7.0.23 server running as a service
Ms SQL Server 2000 as database engine with a rapidanalytic db created.  (SQL Server host lies on a remote network wich I join through OpenVPN)

When I call http://localhost:8080 to admin RA Apache Tomcat local server website appears.

Now I am lost, I am not sure if everything is correctly configured, could you give me some light?

I just started to test rapid products and I'am focused in its reporting possibilities (I think it is a very powerful program).

Thanks in advance,

llrull

Hi,

as always the best place to loog is into server/default/log/server.log and look for suspicious messages. Also, you can go to localhost:8080/admin-console (user admin / password admin unless changed) to see whether the data source is there (open the "Datasource" node) and RapidAnalytics is there (open the "Enterprise Application (EAR)" node. If the data source has an error, the rest won't work.

Best,
Simon

Thank you Simon,

As soon as I take a look according your guide I will share the results.

Now I am in my first deep dive into installations and I give to your help my kindest gratitude.
