I'm in. Publishing it as Milan and Zoltan have suggested is IMO a good way towards developing a good scientific conference. And what is the most realistic way, if you at RM can't decide, maybe you could poll us for the opinion when sending the e-mail with processes from trainings or collecting information for workgroups. I believe at least most of us are already working on a new material that can be included in special issue/published book.
Cheerz,

Marin

Hi,

the PDF proceedings are finished and we try to upload them this afternoon / during the weekend. Next week we will also start to contact journals and publishers for a collection of extended papers. We will contact the authors about the results and the next steps as soon as possible.

Marin, those are great pictures - thanks for them! Do you mind if we upload them to the RCOMM photo album on our facebook site? I would upload them later today if you agree.

Cheers,
Ingo

Dear Ingo,
The idea of publishing extended papers into some journal special issue sounds good. We are in fact already working on extending our papers for publishing in a peer-reviewed journal. In my view, the topics presented in the conference would fit quite well in one of the following journals:
- Machine Learning
- Pattern Recognition
- Pattern Recognition Letters

However, PRL has a policy of accepting unpublished research so they might not consider publishing extended conference papers. PR has a higher tendency of accepting extended conference papers so we might have a chance there (if the editors are convinced about the quality of ideas presented at RCOMM).

Publishing with Springer as a conference post-proceeding might be an option, but the visibility of the work will be much lower as compared to publishing with a regular journal. If you need any assistance, we would be happy to help you.

Hello Ingo,

are the proceedings already released? If yes, are they available publicly? I would be really interested in reading some of the articles.

Regards,
Matthias
