Hi there,

I am really pleased to see that RM has finally introduced the PMML extension. Excellent decision and great job!

By the way, how can one import a model in the PMML format in RM, in order to use it for scoring in a process?

Also, I would much appreciate if you could share from your experience on how a model saved in PMML format can be deployed on a database. Can someone of you give examples of database management systems in which you deployed the PMML models built with RM, or in other Data Mining suite?

Many thanks for your input!

Regards
Dan

thanks for your kind words.

Currently, RapidMiner and RapidAnalytics only support the export of PMML for decision tree models, rule set models, naive bayes models, linear regression models, logistic regression models, and the centroid-based clustering models. Additional model types, as well as the import of models are planned for the next release of the extension.

As far as I know the RapidMiner PMML was validated with the PMML Validator provided by Zemetis and tested at least on the IBM DB2 and maybe with Adapa. Deploying the PMML models on systems compliant to those should be hence not a problem.

Cheers,
Ingo
