Hi Munish,
please try again to update. I don't experience any problems.

You get the password as soon as you become admin of our update server.

Hi,
just one question: Did you read the previous posts?

Just try again updating, we are currently searching the problem, why the update server sometimes returns this error.

Hi,
do you have an internet connection? You can test it by taking a look at the welcome screen. Without internet connection this question is displayed erroneously.

check to see if you are behind a proxy. I had the same problem when i was trying to update from my office and I couldn't seem to get the proxy setup correctly. when i bypassed the proxy, the update worked just fine.

Hi,

i am behind a proxy and requires authentication. The update is not working (rapid 5.0). Has anybody found a hack ?
Thanks in advance.

If you are using a version of RapidMiner < 5.0.004 you will have to download and install RapidMiner manually. You can find the download links on our website. The proxy settings were introduced just recently and hence you will have to manually reinstall the new version (5.0.005 is the current one). With the latest versions, you will have proxy settings in the properties dialog of RapidMiner and update should work

  • after setting correct proxy settings,
  • if you have sufficient access rights to your file system.

Cheers,
Ingo
