With Public Transport
You should approach the main station of Dortmund from all directions with one of the trains RB, RE, SBahn, InterRegio, IC, or ICE. Use the train S-Bahn "S1", direction to "Düsseldorf", to the station "Dortmund Universität" (third stop, takes about 6 min, in a 20 minutes cycle). Leave the train at the station Dortmund-Universität and use the elevator to the H-Bahn (see below).
From the Airports
You can use the train "Regional Express" from the airport Düsseldorf to Dortmund. (travelling time is about 50 minutes). Leave the train at Dortmund Main Station (Hauptbahnhof) and follow the instructions given in public transport.
From the airport Dortmund, you can travel by bus to the Dortmund main station (it takes about 20 minutes) and follow the instruction given in public transport.
With the Hightrain (H-Bahn)
If you are approaching by public transport, you will leave the S-Bahn "S1" at the station "Dortmund Universität". From here, you will have to use the elevator to the H-Bahn. Use one of the small blue trains to direction "Eichlinghofen" and leave it at the end station "Eichlinghofen". From there, you have to walk about 600m to Rapid-I along the Stockumer Street (turn right after leaving the hightrain station).
With Car
A40: Use the exit 42 "Kreuz Dortmund-West" and change to the A45, direction Frankfurt / Kassel.
A45: Use the exit 6 "Dortmund-Eichlinghofen", follow the sign to Dortmund-Eichlinghofen (L523 / Universitätsstraße). Turn right into the Stockumer Str. Rapid-I is located in the first building on the left hand side. You can use the parking lot directly in front of the door.
