RapidMiner supports several Extensions (Plugins) which can be installed in addition to the RapidMiner core operators. Please find some information below about how to install and manage those extensions.

Extensions for RapidMiner 5

For RapidMiner 5 or later, please use the update and installation manager available in the help menu of RapidMiner in oder to download additional extensions. Just select "Help" - "Update RapidMiner..." and select one or several extensions in the dialog before starting the installation process. The extensions will be downloaded and installed automatically.

Extensions for RapidMiner 4.6 and before

In order to use the available RapidMiner extensions, it is sufficient to download the .jar Java archive and put it into the RAPIDMINER_HOME/lib/plugins directory. Only one version of each plugin may be contained in this directory. Windows users can alternatively download and install the Windows executable (.exe). The download links can be found below.

	The Text plugin (formerly Word Vector Tool plugin) can be used to create word vectors from input texts in different formats (plain text, URLs...)
	The Value Series plugin provides methods for (automatic) feature extraction from series data. Including loaders for audio files.
	The Data Stream plugin provides operators for data stream mining and for learning drifting concepts.
	The Conditional Random Field plugin provides some basic operators for named entity recognition.
