Call for Papers for RCOMM 2012

RapidMiner starts the third round of its successful community meeting RCOMM.

Call for Papers: Suggestions for presentations can be submitted until May 11th, 2012.

Rapid-I, a leading provider of open source solutions for predictive analytics, data mining and text mining, will host its third conference for users and developers RCOMM 2012 from 28th till 31st August in Budapest. Rapid-I invites practitioners, users of RapidMiner, and business analytics experts to submit talks and to participate at the conference.

The RCOMM 2012 encompasses conference talks, in which invited lecturers will discuss aspects of state-of-the-art business analytics with RapidMiner and RapidAnalytics. The Call for Papers is issued for those who would like to present their work in that scope. Papers or talks can be submitted until May 11th, 2012 at http://www.rcomm2012.com.

RCOMM 2012

The RCOMM 2012 intends to intensify the community life and strengthen the RapidMiner network by bringing together customers, users, and developers of RapidMiner from all backgrounds, may they be scientific or commercial, from the whole variety of applications and from all grades of knowledge. Workshops will be held to give participants a hands-on experience concerning several topics regarding the usage of RapidMiner and RapidAnalytics as well as best practices for big data analytics. The Rapid-I partner Radoop will for example present the connection between RapidMiner and Hadoop for analyzing petabytes of data.

"This is the third year of our conference RCOMM 2012 and I am happy to welcome clients, interested persons, users, and true data mining experts in Budapest.", states Dr. Ingo Mierswa, CEO of Rapid-I. "RCOMM is both fun and a place for the vital exchange of ideas and best practices. A personal highlight for me is the by now legendary game show 'Who wants to be a data miner' which enjoyed great popularity over the last two years. During this RCOMM we will present a reissue of this searching competition for the best analytic solution."
