Testimonials

"I just found your RapidMiner software package and I think it's amazing! I've been looking for something like this for a while...it is by far the most comprehensive machine learning package I've found...I really appreciate whoever decided to create this and make it open source."

RapidMiner again No. 1

Second year in row, readers of KDnuggets News have picked RapidMiner as the open-source solution they use most.

RapidMiner, the market leading open-source data mining application and business intelligence engine from Rapid-I, was ranked as the number one among the open-source data mining tools used by the readers of KDnuggets News, a data mining and knowledge discovery industry e-newsletter. This is the second time since KDnuggets began conducting the “Data Mining Tools Regularly Used” poll that RapidMiner has topped the list of open-source data mining solutions. KDnuggets News, a data mining and knowledge discovery e-newsletter, conducts the “Data Mining Tools Regularly Used” poll annually.

Compared with both open-source and closed-source data mining applications, RapidMiner scores second in total. Compared with last year, where RapidMiner also was among the Top 3 data mining tools on the third place in total and also No. 1 among the open-source tools, RapidMiner was able to score one place higher and reduces the lead to No. 1 to only 2 votes. The total number of tools was 33, among them all well known closed-source and open-source data mining solutions.

RapidMiner, which was the first open-source data mining solution aimed at business users, is used by organizations to attract new customers, retain profitable customers, identify up- and cross-selling opportunities, detect fraud, reduce risk and improve processes. Considered the leading open-source environment for data mining, RapidMiner is used in a wide range of industries, including e-commerce, telecommunications, finance, retail, healthcare, and government.
