Rapid-I, headquartered in Dortmund, Germany, was founded in 2006 and was changed into an incorporated company in 2007. Since 2001, more than 30 developers world-wide work on the open-source product RapidMiner.
Biographies of Key Executives
Ingo Mierswa, co-founder and managing director of Rapid-I, is responsible for technology and development, human resources, marketing, and company strategy and also works as a senior developer and consultant for Rapid-I. He has several years of experience in project management, human resources management, consulting, and leadership including six years of coordinating and leading the multi-national RapidMiner (formerly YALE) developer team with about 30 developers and contributors world-wide.
Ralf Klinkenberg, co-founder and managing director of Rapid-I, is responsible for sales, finances, controlling, and company strategy and also works as senior consultant for Rapid-I. He has several years of experience in project management, team leadership, and consulting including projects and consulting for large companies in the automotive industry, the telecommunications sector, and the financial sector as well as for diverse small and mid-sized companies in different branches.
